Games and apps – SmartShell_ENG

This block allows you to add app shortcuts to run gaming stations remotely.

You can get to the add and modify content section from the additional menu by clicking on the Apps tab from the Content drop-down list or by following these links:

How to create a game or app shortcut

Click on Add a game in the upper right corner.

In the window that opens, click the Templates button to select one of the pre-made templates and automatically fill in the game's title, cover, description, and screenshots. Or you can just fill in these fields yourself along with the others:

Name of the game (required field) – from 2 to 50 Unicode characters.
Description of the game.
Screenshots of the game – optimal resolution is 1280x720.
Group of games – select one of the existing game groups to add the shortcut to a group with other games to divde it by genre, for example.
Path to the game (required field) – сorresponds to the launch path on the gaming station. If you have different launch paths in different rooms, type additional ones in the remaining fields.
Command line argument (Optional).
Working directory (it is set automatically after the path is filled in).
License pool AVAILABLE IN BUSINESS. Read more about how gaming center accounts work in this article.
Age limit – enable the prohibition of persons under appropriate age rating from launching the game.
Allow to run under as an administrator.
Set the game cover.
Size limitations:
- Minimum resolution 256x384
- Optimal size 600x900
- Aspect ratio 2:3
- Maximum size 250kb
- Acceptable format .jpg, .png
Icon path (for apps only)
- Acceptable format .ico and .exe

IMPORTANT!

If the path to the app was specified incorrectly or if the app does not exist on any of the computers, then in the Shell editing mode the corresponding icon will appear instead of the original one. The client will not see this shortcut at all.
